Steve Truglia Drives Shell V-Power Loop Stunt for AutoRai 2011 Amsterdam

Driving the Shell V-Power Loop which we made for the AutoRai 2011 Motor show in Amsterdam. I’ll be driving the loop 3 times per day for the public, from now until the 23rd April 2011. See article here.
Prostunts have been working in conjunction with Shell to build, deliver and perform one of the rarest stunts ever.
The unique loop has been designed to be driven around by a road going car, the Fiat 500, and is the only one of it’s size and kind in the World. Pulling up to 7 G’s depending on entry speed, is both physically and mentally demanding. It is vital to hit the loop in a very straight line to ensure that the car does not touch the sides and loose speed; doing so could mean the car falls from the top of the loop.

We win Most Spectacular Scene at the 2010 British Soap Awards

The Most Spectacular Scene at the 2010 British Soap Awards went to the skydiving accident sequence which we designed and Stunt Coordinated for UK television’s Hollyoaks. It was a great team effort from the whole Hollyoaks crew and the scene did us all proud. Having been nominated on other occasions, it was a great pleasure to win this one. A big thanks especially to the brilliant Director Sean Glynn and Producer Bryan Kirkwood who made this happen.

A big thanks also to the cast for learning to skydive at short notice and put up with a long shoot in uncomfortable flying harnesses.

Steve Truglia sets a new Guinness World Record for Speed Abseiling

In September 2004, Steve Truglia set a new Guinness World Record for the fastest abseil, (rappel), over 100 metres. The stunt was used for the opening of the Guinness World Record 50th Anniversary television show, broadcast on ITV prime time Saturday night to millions of viewers.
The venue was the 400 feet tall CentrePoint building on London’s Oxford Street.
Steve’s time was 8.9 seconds for the 100m abseil.

Full Body Fire Stunt for FHM magazine

Here’s an image from a special feature I did for FHM magazine. Having performed over 60 full body burns, I have developed the very rare technique of full burn fire stunts with no face mask. This increases the risk significantly and requires a first class team to perform it.

Steve Presents Fifth Gear Stunt Special

Five’s motoring magazine show returns for an action-packed one-off special, presented by Stuntman Steve Truglia, as he prepares to perform a toy-car trick in a road going car. He will attempt to defy gravity and neck-breaking G-forces to loop-the-loop. This stirring ‘Fifth Gear’ special follows Steve every step of the way to see how he prepares for this extraordinary stunt. He seeks advice from Finnish female stunt riders, a daredevil aerobatics pilot and a Cambridge University Doctor of mechanical engineering, while training to withstand the incredible G-forces he will experience while driving in the loop. Steve needs to hit the launch ramp at the perfect speed. If he is too slow, he will drop out of the sky as soon as he is upside down. If he is too quick, he will experience enough G-force to make him blackout. Steve has never failed to complete a stunt yet – but will he succeed this time?
